वैज्ञानिक और ईश्वर : A Scientist Meets God

एक वैज्ञानिक ने ईश्वर को खोज लिया और उससे कहा, “ईश्वर, हमें अब तुम्हारी कोई ज़रूरत नहीं है. विज्ञान ने इतनी उन्नति कर ली है कि अब हम जीवन के किसी भी रूप की रचना कर सकते हैं. आदिकाल में तुमने जो किया वह हम अब करके दिखा सकते हैं.”

“अच्छा! बताओ तुम क्या कर सकते हो?”, ईश्वर ने पूछा.

वैज्ञानिक ने कहा, “हम मिट्टी से जीवन के विविध रूपों की रचना कर सकते हैं. हम इसे तुम्हारी आकृति में ढालकर इसमें प्राण फूंक सकते हैं. हम पुरुष, स्त्री और जीवन के हर उस रूप की रचना कर सकते हैं जो कभी अस्तित्व में रहा हो.”

“वाह! यह तो बहुत अच्छी बात है”, ईश्वर ने कहा, “मुझे दिखाओ तुम ऐसा कैसे करते हो”.

वैज्ञानिक नीचे झुकता है और अपनी परखनली में थोड़ी सी मिट्टी भरता है…

“रूको! ज़रा ठहरो!”, ईश्वर ने उसे टोकते हुए कहा, “वह तो मेरी मिट्टी है! तुम अपनी मिट्टी से यह काम करो!”

A scientist one day discovered the God and said to Him, “God, we don’t need you any more. Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing – in other words, we can now do what you did in the beginning.

“Oh, is that so? Tell Me…” replies God.

“Well,” says the scientist, “we can take dirt and create life forms from it. We can make it into the likeness of you and breathe life into it. We are able to create man, woman or any living thing that ever existed.”

“Well, that’s very interesting…show Me how you do it.”

So the scientist bends down to the ground and picks up some dirt in his his test tube…

“No, no, no…” interrupts God, “That’s the dirt I created! Get your own dirt.”
